Letter From Mo Brower

We are so grateful that we live in one of the most supportive communities around.  Trying to schedule productions this past year has been challenging and frustrating. Our production of Southern Fried Funeral was ready to go in March 2020 but three weeks before the performance, we went into lockdown.  Several of the performances were basically sold out.  It quickly became apparent that the lockdown would last more than a few weeks, tickets had to be refunded, and dates for royalties had to be changed (several times).  We all felt disappointed that we had to cancel, not realizing that our whole season was going to be canceled as well. Most disappointing was having to cancel our 10 Year Anniversary celebration. We, as all community theaters did, had to face challenges never faced before. During this time, our patrons reached out and offered words of encouragement….not a single complaint!  We can’t thank you enough for all your kind words and understanding.

Now for the good news!  We are thrilled to announce that our production of Southern Fried Funeral will be presented August 12-15, 2021 !  Our cast and crew are ready and excited to present this wonderful comedy to you and are looking forward to seeing you all. Tickets will be going on sale soon so please check our website for additional information. Tasties, Toddies, and Theatrics will be our 10 + 1 celebration and will be presented November 11-13, 2021.  We are planning a spectacular show to celebrate our 10-year anniversary and are excited that this event will be catered by The Chef and The Wife!

Other exciting news… we have partnered with several organizations in the Lake Country community to form The Lake Country Arts Alliance.  You will now see the link for LCAA at the bottom of every page on our website.  For information regarding events in our area, just click on the link!

The Lake Country Players thank you all for supporting us throughout the years and we are looking forward to once again sharing the magic of live theater with you, our beloved community.
